How long does the Conservation Scholars program last?

The program will be active from Fall 2018 to Summer 2019.

I’m graduating in December 2018 or May 2019. Am I eligible?

This program runs through the academic year and the internship for Summer 2019, so unfortunately if you graduate before then (e.g. Winter ’18 or Spring ’19) you will not be eligible.

How detailed does my application and research proposal need to be?

The more information you can provide on your research proposal, the better. You can see samples of previous successful applicant proposals here.

Where can I intern as a Conservation Scholars Intern?

You can intern with a wide range of groups, from state and federal agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private organizations, or research laboratories. We strongly encourage you to visit our Past Internships and Past Interns pages for an overview of the kind of work previous interns have done.
