The application period for 2018 is now open!

Who is eligible?

All undergraduates at Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University at Galveston, and Prairie View A&M University are eligible to apply – regardless of department or major.

What are the requirements?

The creativity and thoroughness of background research in the area of the proposed project will carry the most weight in your application. We recommend you identify and work with a faculty mentor as you develop your application, and highlight your specific research interests and how they relate to your research goals. Applicants are not expected to identify an internship as part of their application. Potential internships will be explored after participants have begun the Conservation Scholars program. However, you may include information about a potential internship if you have identified one aligned with the focus of the Conservation Scholars program. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of faculty and graduate students. We anticipate 13 awards will be made in 2018 – 2019.
